Phra Khru Sitthidhamvites, the abbot of Atammayatarama Buddhist Monastery ,kindly performing as the president of the monastic assembly, paid homage to the Triple Gem after that Phra Khru Bhavanavites, the abbot of Seattle Meditation Center gave an opening speech of the ceremony.

วันอังคารที่ 17 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2554 วัดพระธรรมกายแคลิฟอร์เนีย ได้จัดงานวันวิสาขบูชานานาชาติครั้งที่ 12 ขึ้น ในครั้งนี้พระภิกษุ-ภิกษุณีทุกนิกายกว่า 190 รูปมาเป็นเนื้อนาบุญ

วันวิสาขบูชา เป็นวันประสูติ ตรัสรู้ ปรินิพพาน ของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า คือวันเพ็ญเดือน6 พระองค์เป็นมหาบรุษผู้ยิ่งใหญ่อย่างแท้จริง ต้องบอกว่าการบังเกิดขึ้นของพระองค์เป็นเหตุการณ์ที่สั่นสะเทือนอย่างรุนแรง ไม่มีใครที่จะส่งผลให้โลกได้มากขนาดนี้
